Living in Austin is and always will be a blast! It’s why so many people are moving here daily! The word is out we have a vibrant city full of arts, music, parks and great people. The legislature along with University of Texas and the many diverse high-tech industries top the city off to create an exciting, ever-changing community.

I moved here over 30 years ago because of the trees, yes, the trees. We get to enjoy spectacular oaks, fruitful pecans, huge sycamores–too many varieties to list. Ok, so I really came here to go to school and work in a bookstore, but I quickly realized how important it is to preserve the natural beauty of Austin. Our parks and paths throughout this city are unique to so many Texas cities. My father swam at Barton Springs when he was at UT in the 40’s. There is no finer gem among natural pools that I’ve seen. So far, we’re still swimming in it!
We get to enjoy Lady Bird Lake, Barton Creek, Lake Travis, the list goes on of great natural areas Austin has chosen to preserve. The natural beauty of this city is a big reason I love to call it home.

Keeping up with changes in Austin the past few years has been a wild ride. Our downtown is morphing into a serious skyline and the suburbs are moving further out in all directions. Austin has had its share of transformations in the past few years, some good and some questioned for good reason but whatever the scene evolves into, no matter how the landscape changes, the richness of Austin will never change because the people ultimately make it what it is by being good stewards of this fantastic place we get to call home.

Now remember, lots of people might be moving here each month but this doesn’t take into consideration how many people are moving out. We are a transient population in Austin, so if you are leaving or just getting here, call me to help you with your real estate needs. I will take excellent care of you!
