About Monica
Driving Principles:
Always do what’s best for my clients—and don’t work with jerks. Life is too short.
I bring more than 20 years of experience in real estate as an agent, general contractor, developer, and investor to every transaction. That background gives me a big-picture, practical, and refreshingly honest perspective, whether I’m helping with an $11,000 vacant lot or a $15M multifamily development. No matter the size or complexity of the deal, my clients benefit from seasoned insight and steady guidance.
My background in renovation and construction allows me to see opportunities—and red flags—that others might miss. Combined with my MBA from Stanford, I offer strong expertise in financial analysis, negotiation, and marketing, all focused on giving my clients a real competitive edge in today’s fast-moving and often challenging real estate market.
Just as important as results, I believe the process itself should be clear, collaborative, and even fun. I take pride in making sure my clients understand every step of the buying or selling journey, what’s coming next, and why decisions matter. As one client put it, “[Monica] evidenced high ethics, patience, and humor throughout a difficult transaction.” My goals are simple: listen closely, communicate often, reduce stress wherever possible, and provide such exceptional service that clients feel confident referring me to friends, family, and colleagues. More than two-thirds of my business comes from repeat clients and referrals—the highest compliment I can imagine.
I’m a native Texan and have lived in Central Texas for over 25 years. Over that time, I’ve owned homes in many of Austin’s iconic neighborhoods, including Crestview, Allandale, Bryker Woods, Bouldin Creek, East Austin, and Windsor Park, and I’ve done business throughout the metro area. These days, I’ve traded urban traffic for a little more breathing room in Smithville, just east of Bastrop, while continuing to spend plenty of time in Austin serving clients. Whether you’re in the heart of the city or east of it, I’ve got you covered.
When I’m not showing houses or meeting clients for coffee, you’ll likely find me at home with my two Great Pyrenees mix rescues and a foster dog, renovating an old house, battling yaupon and cedar trees with a chainsaw, or crocheting for an upcoming yarn bomb. I also serve on a municipal Historic Preservation Design Standards Committee and previously served on a Planning and Zoning Committee—experience that keeps me current on land-use issues that often prove unexpectedly valuable to my clients.
